Bad day at the race track yesterday. Car was fast on the 1/3 mile low banked track. Up until lap 25 or so. #33 broke a transmission 1/2 way down the straight, no time to react and hit him from behind - tore the RF suspension off. Then got clobbered by the car behind and lost the back end up to the fuel cell. We got it back together in about 20 minutes (damn we're good ), lost about 40 laps but still finished in the top 15. Only lost 4 tenths after the repairs. Next race is back on our home track, high banked 3/8 mile modelled after Bristol where we won a Championship and countless races.

PROKennyVette: Here's our home track [URL] Check out the Pictures link. Haven't raced there in 2 years because it's been closed. Now, new owership, it's been completely rebuilt and is going to be one of the premier tracks in Eastern Canada. They hired the same lighting company that did a number of the Eastern Cup tracks, like Rockingham and Bristol. It's gonna be SWEET.

And to sort of cap the season and the last races of it:

PROKennyVette: This weekend we're racing our last race of this year, on our home track. Twin 50 lap features over 2 days. First race was last night. 1st they screwed us by making us remove our race shocks and put on spec shocks - which are J-U-N-K.. So we battled wheel hop all day. Qualified 12th out of 31 cars which we were disappointed with. In the race we worked up to 7th and got spun 20 laps in. Damn rookies! Had to go to the back of the rather large field. Came back and finished 5th. If we take our headers off and run stock cast iron manifolds they will let us run our race shocks, so today that's the plan for the second 50 lapper. We're giving up too much on the turn entry without our good shocks so we're gonna trade off 40hp for better handling. Grrr....

PROKennyVette: Last night was the second of the Twin-50 lap races we entered this weekend. If you seen my other note we pulled the headers off the car and switched back to our racing shocks. The car was a bit faster overall but it was falling off at the end of the straights. Anyway, they inverted the qualifying order so we started 22nd our of 31. No worries... we only got 31 laps in before rain ended the night but in those 31 laps Graham passed 15 cars and got to 7th. He wasn't finished... but the damn weather came. Just before the start of the feature race I stuck a spring rubber in the RR spring to help him run the outside. It worked perfect! Anyway, overall for the weekend (they scored both races together) we scored 4th out of 31, so we're Ok with that but a win would have been nice to end the year!

I bet a PRO on this car will look as great as it does on Marks Sprint too!
